Privacy Policy

Recognizing the importance of protecting personal information, T. HASEGAWA Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) have adopted a privacy policy as described below with regard to any and all personal information collected and used in the course of business (the “Personal Information”).

  • 1. Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations

    Company will comply with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and all other applicable laws, and regulations in all Company operations that involve the handling of Personal Information. Furthermore, Company will strive to ensure Company practices conforming with the guidelines decided by government agencies, etc.

  • 2. Collection and Use of Personal Information

    • (1) Company will acquire Personal Information in a lawful and fair manner.
    • (2) Company will use Personal Information only for the purposes officially announced in advance or within the scope of use described at the time of acquiring Personal Information, and only to the extent necessary to carry out Company business.
    • (3) In the case where Company shares Personal Information with a third party, or entrust the handling of Personal Information to a third party, Company will examine such third party rigorously beforehand, and perform the necessary and proper management and supervision to ensure that such third party keeps the Personal Information confidential such as by entering into an agreement with them covering the management responsibilities.
  • 3. Security Management of Personal Information

    Company will work to keep Personal Information accurate and up-to-date, and safely manage. Company will take appropriate information security measures against unauthorized access to Personal Information and infiltration by computer viruses and the like to prevent the loss, destruction, alteration, leakage, etc. of Personal Information, and prevent leaks resulting from Personal Information being physically removed or sent to an external destination. In the unlikely event that trouble occurs in relating to such measures, Company will swiftly take action to correct such trouble.

  • 4. Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, and Deletion of Personal Information

    Company acknowledges that the owners of the Personal Information have the right to request the disclosure, correction, suspension of use, and deletion, etc. of their own personal data, and Company will strive to appropriately and immediately respond to any such request.

  • 5. Organization and Structure

    Company assigns staff members in every department to be responsible for handling Personal Information, and implement the appropriate management of Personal Information. Company will provide all officers and employees with training and education on how to protect and appropriately manage Personal Information to, thoroughly ensure that Personal Information is handled appropriately in day-to-day operations.

Company will use acquired personal information for the following purposes.

    • Negotiations, communications, consultations, order acceptance and placement, settlement or other processing relating to business transactions
    • Delivery and receipt of goods or services, etc. relating to business transactions

    • Exercise of rights and performance of duties as shareholders pursuant to the Companies Act and other laws and regulations
    • Provision of privileges to, and performance of other measures with regard to, shareholders in the capacity of shareholders
    • Management of Company shareholders, such as preparation of Company shareholder data based on the standards specified by laws and regulations
    • Appropriate and smooth performance of Company other operations
  • 3. Personal Information of Job Applicants Acquired during Hiring Activities

    • Provision of information and communications relating to Company7s hiring, screening of job applicants and hiring decisions
    • Provision of documents and communications for hiring procedures after a provisional decision is made
    • Other labor management and smooth performance of Company operations
  • 4. Personal Information of Company Officers, Employees, Former Employees and Their Family Members

    • Work-related communications, exchanges of information, and compliance with rights and obligations in relation to labor related laws and regulations, tax related laws and regulations and social welfare related laws and regulations pertaining to human resource policies (including transfers, evaluations, and career development such as education), payment of salary, attendance management, welfare benefits and so on
    • Performance of various procedures specified by internal regulations
    • Communications with, and the provision of information to, Company labor union, health insurance society, Company healthcare room, shareholding association, alumni association and group companies
    • Notification and reporting to government offices, their auxiliary organizations or other organizations to which Company belongs
    • Provision of social welfare services, referrals concerning various types of group insurance and related procedures
    • Distribution of internal publications and so on
    • Communications during emergencies
    • Other labor management and smooth performance of Company operations
